In case you've been living under a technological rock for the last few weeks, I'm sure you've heard rumblings about Sony's foray into the hacker realm. There are 52 released discs which contain a XCP program designed to prevent unauthorized duplication. What they don't tell you about this program is that it contains a "rootkit" that goes deep into Window's programming (the root) and is next to impossible to get out. Although Sony has released an uninstall program, I've read that the results are less than stellar. So, caveat emptor...
