Okay -- so I stole this from Chris Turner who took it from Matt Casarino...who may have taken it from someone else, like Ron Holiday. He's a big fan of this game.

Put your iPod or MP3 player or tape player or 8 track on shuffle and jot down the first lines of the first 15 songs that come up. Then you post it and see who can figure them out.

I did, and of course the the first song came up jazz and sans lyrics by the Minnesota Contemporary Ensemble. Go figure. I didn't count any classical or learn to speak French tracks that came in the mix (which amazingly only happened 3 times). I wrote the answers next to the numbers in white text, so no cheating! I will warn you, though. Only a few are "mainstream."

(Really, I don't have all that many Soul Coughing or Mike Doughty songs in my 8300+ songs. Which sets me on a tangent: Why does iTunes when in shuffle always seem to pull artist with upcoming or newly released works? Does anyone else experience this? Does Mike Doughty have a new album out soon?)
